1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using GFinTrack (available at gfintrack.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users of the GFinTrack application and any related services.

2. Description of Service

GFinTrack is a personal finance tracking application that helps individuals and households track spending, investments, budgets, and taxes. The service connects to spreadsheets you own in Google Sheets (Google Drive) or Microsoft Excel (OneDrive) to display financial insights. GFinTrack does not hold or custody your financial assets.

GFinTrack is provided as a software tool only. Nothing in this application constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

3. Your Data & Our Role

Your financial transaction data is stored in your own Google Sheets or OneDrive Excel spreadsheet, which remains under your ownership and control at all times. GFinTrack reads this data to display analytics and insights but does not copy or persist your financial history on its own servers.

The limited account data GFinTrack does store (email address, name, preferences, session tokens) is governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain full ownership of all data you create.

4. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@gfintrack.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of other people without their explicit consent.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GFinTrack only for lawful personal financial tracking purposes. You may not:

Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against the service
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
Use the service to track finances of others without their explicit consent

6. Subscription & Billing

GFinTrack currently offers a free Founder Member tier for early users. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and terms will be communicated in advance. You will never be charged without explicit consent.

Founder Member status is granted at our discretion and may be modified or discontinued with 30 days notice to affected users.

7. Termination

By you: You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. Your Google Sheet and OneDrive files are never affected.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or pose a security risk to other users. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable unless doing so would cause harm.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

GFinTrack is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Financial calculations and analytics are for informational purposes only and may contain errors.

We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in financial data that originates from your own spreadsheet, third-party data sources, or user entry errors.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GFinTrack and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GFinTrack harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims that qualify for small claims court.
